IShowSpeed was infuriated by a statement made by Jamie Carragher where he questioned whether Darren would come to the show just to “run.”
After viewing a clip from a recent episode of the CBS Sports Golazo show, which was hosted by Kate Scott, Thierry Henry, Jamie Carragher, and Micah Richards, IShowSpeed was not pleased. Carragher’s remarks regarding his online persona, in particular, infuriated the YouTuber.
Carragher suggested that the streamer’s name merely signified that he was a fast runner. This happened during the most recent episode of CBS Sports Golazo when Thierry Henry requested the streamer to play against him in the recent Match for Hope charity game. Carragher said:
“If he comes on the show, what’s he going to do, just run?”
This remark seemingly infuriated IShowSpeed, who responded to it during his livestream on February 18, 2025. The streamer immediately criticized Carragher. He said:
“Bro, what?!? They think I’m stupid, bro nah, nah. Nah, chat. Who is he talking smack?”

Richards extended an invitation for him to come on the show, meet Carragher, and have a “talk” with him. To which IShowSpeed replied:
“Yeah, Jamie Carragher. I’m going to remember that name.”
Jamie Carragher Wants To Race IShowSpeed
Thierry Henry and IShowSpeed spoke extensively both before and during the Match for Hope, which was held in Doha on February 14, 2025. Henry kept asking the YouTuber if he would join CBS Sports Golazo, which he co-hosts, for the Champions League segment, in addition to talking about their team’s loss.
CBS Sports Golazo showed snippets of the online celebrity’s YouTube livestream, in which he had criticized Jamie Carragher and shown interest in joining the show after he responded to the hosts’ conversation about him.
When the former football player saw the video of IShowSpeed saying he would remember Carragher’s name, he appeared excited about the possibility of the streamer showing up. If he appeared on the show, Carragher even proposed that he would race IShowSpeed. He also asked Henry whether the streamer is as fast as the Arsenal legend and said:
“Is he coming on the show now? Is he coming on? I’ll have a race. Is he Thierry Henry fast?”
