The Mega Pet Mutation Shard is the seventh shard introduced in Grow a Garden, added during the Beanstalk Expansion Event. Applying this shard gives pets the Mega mutation, which transforms them into a gigantic version of themselves, speeds up their hunger rate by 20%, and grants an enormous XP boost of 10-40 XP every second.
Unlike most shards, the Mega Shard cannot be earned directly, it must be crafted using a Cleansing Pet Shard and Sheckles at the event’s crafting station. Because of its ability to supercharge leveling speed, it’s one of the most powerful pet upgrades currently available.

How To Get the Mega Pet Mutation Shard
To craft the Mega Shard, you’ll need:
- x1 Cleansing Pet Shard
- 15,000,000 Sheckles
Steps:
- Clear your pet’s current mutation using the Cleansing Shard (required to apply Mega).
- Head to the Beanstalk Event crafting station.
- Combine the Cleansing Shard with Sheckles to craft the Mega Pet Mutation Shard.
- Apply the shard to a Level 50+ pet to unlock the Mega mutation instantly.
Note: The Mega Pet Mutation Shard is most likely replaced by the Giantbean Shard in the recent update. While it is not confirmed yet, it is not available on the Giant Goliath’s Friendship Shop. Rumors are that it might return soon.
