The second half of the Fairy Event in Grow a Garden introduced many new mechanics and even more fairies, and you get to catch them now, and it’s the most rewarding thing ever. If you catch enough, you can get your hands on one of the event-exclusive pets, the Wisp. This Legendary-tier pet is inspired by the folklore of will-o’-the-wisps.
Unlike most pets, the Wisp doesn’t directly affect crops but instead supports your pets by boosting their experience gain when paired with a Wisp Well. This makes it an excellent companion for players who want to train and evolve their pets faster. In this guide, we will tell you how to get it and if it’s worth grinding for.

The Wisp’s passive, Will-o’-the-Wisp, activates when you place a Wisp Well in your garden. It grants all pets (except the Wisp itself) additional passive XP gain, helping them level faster without grinding. This is especially helpful for preparing pets for mutation or evolving rare ones more efficiently.
Note: The passive does not give XP to the Wisp itself, and multiple Wisp Wells do not stack.
How To Get the Wisp Pet
This floating blue light orb can be purchased if you catch enough fairies during the event from the Fairy Fares Shop; here are the requirements:
- Price: 40,000 Fairy Points or 419 Robux
- Requirement: Catch 400 fairies before they become available for purchase.
How To Catch Fairies
To catch roaming fairies, you’ll first need the Fairy Net, which can be crafted near the Godmother Fairy.
Fairy Net Recipe:
- 1x Sunbulb
- 1x Strawberry Seed
- 1x Harvest Tool (purchased from Eloise’s Gear Shop for 30,000,000 Sheckles)
The Fairy Net takes 1 minute to craft and can be used immediately. Once crafted, head into the Fairy World through a Fairy Ring to find roaming fairies. Click on them with the Fairy Net to capture them. After catching enough fairies, you can trade them for rewards and unlock shop items like the Wisp pet.
Is the Wisp Pet Worth It?
Yes, if your focus is on pet progression. The Wisp’s passive provides steady XP growth to all pets in your garden, making it valuable for long-term training. While it doesn’t directly affect crops, it complements mutation-focused pets like the Phoenix by reducing leveling time. Collectors will also appreciate its unique glowing design tied to folklore.
