YouTube streamer IShowSpeed entered the WWE Royal Rumble 2025 event as a contestant and got injured by Otis.
The World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) Royal Rumble event took place on February 1, 2025. Content creators Darren “IShowSpeed” Watkins Jr. and Kai Cenat attended the event for their respective livestreams. Speed surprised fans by entering the Royal Rumble main event match, but Bron Breaker eliminated him in minutes.
IShowSpeed then suffered an injury after WWE wrestler Nikola “Otis” Michal Bogojević tossed him into the announcer’s table. Speed eliminated Otis earlier in the match, and the wrestler injured him as revenge. Medics took the streamer backstage on a stretcher, where he announced he wanted to quit the WWE.
After medical professionals tended to Speed’s injury, he vowed to return and take Roman Reigns. Readers should note that the entire incident was likely part of the Royal Rumble script. It is unknown if Speed sustained any real injuries.
Otis Injures IShowSpeed at WWE Royal Rumble
WWE hosts the Royal Rumble event every year with a classic “battle royal” wrestling match. 30 competitors compete to be the last wrestler standing. The matches feature RAW and Smackdown wrestlers as well as celebrities. IShowSpeed entered the match in the number eight spot and helped Bronn Breaker eliminate Otis.

The streamer was celebrating his first elimination by doing his signature backflip when he got knocked down by Bronn Breaker. The wrestler threw Speed out of the ring, officially eliminating him from the match. Otis was waiting outside the ring and caught Speed before throwing the streamer into the announcer’s table.

WWE staff took IShowSpeed to the backstage and treated his injuries. He was seen with walking sticks and a brace around his neck after the injury. Speed took to social media and said he doesn’t want to compete in the WWE anymore.
Speed Calls Out the Entire WWE Roster
WWE interviewed Speed when he was leaving the Royal Rumble event. An interviewer asked him:
“How do you feel you fared considering all the elements and odds stacked against you?”
Speed first said he was done with the WWE but later announced he wants to return next year. The streamer said:
“If I had more time. I don’t know why they keep doing this to me. If I had more time, I promise you, I could do way more than y’all think I could. Next Royal Rumble I’m calling out everybody. Roman Reigns, Mark Henry, Rey Mysterio, Dom…it don’t matter who you are. I’m getting all y’all. Just wait until I start training out there.”
The interviewer asked Speed if last year’s RKO (wrestling move) hurt more or the spear move from Bron Breakker. Speed said both moves hurt and didn’t choose a wrestler. Speed previously appeared at Wrestlemania 2024 to support his friend Logan Paul in a match versus Randy Orton.
