The Duke Dennis Hug involves him putting his arm around the waist of another individual while the latter’s hands are around his neck.
Denzel “Duke Dennis” is a YouTuber and Twitch streamer known primarily for being a prominent member of the Any Means Possible (AMP) streamer group. He is often seen collaborating with other members of the collective, which includes stars like Kai Cenat, Din “Agent 00,” Chris “Chrisnxtdoor,” Roberto “Fanum,” and Davis “ImDavisss.” Collectively, the group has millions of subscribers and followers on YouTube and Twitch.
His content on YouTube consists of vlogs, which often showcase him flirting with women, successfully wooing them, and getting their contact details. Another aspect of his flirtatious behavior is his hug, which has gone viral as the “Duke Dennis Hug.” This hug involves Duke Dennis putting one of his hands on the waist of another individual and another around their hips, as they wrap their hands around his neck.
When Agent 00 questioned what the Duke Dennis Hug was, a fan phrased it this way:
“What the Duke Dennis Hug look like, chat? ‘Grabs your a**, and you grab his neck.'”
How Agent 00 Found Out What The “Duke Dennis Hug” Means
The Duke Dennis Hug is not the only meme to come out of the AMP group, with Fanum’s tendency to demand a share of his co-members’ food also going viral as the “Fanum Tax”. The entire group was in on the joke, and ended up sharing a bit of their food with Fanum as a “tax”.
However, in the case of Duke Dennis, other members of the AMP such as Din “Agent 00” were not aware of the meme. During a livestream, Agent 00 read a comment under a photo of Duke Dennis and a woman. The comment made a mention of the 30-year-old streamer’s hug, which left Agent 00 confused as he asked:
“What the f**k is that? The n***a has a hug named after himself? Damn, that’s a lot of motion, bro.”
After learning what the hug entails, Agent 00 burst out laughing and continued:
“Bro, what the f**k is you talking about? Bro, what?!”
Apart from making content on YouTube, Duke Dennis also occasionally goes live on Twitch. His livestreams often involve him interacting and chatting with his audience, or reacting to content sent in by fans. He has 2.5 million followers on Twitch, while his YouTube channel has 2.8 million followers.
Recently, Duke Dennis was featured in a post made by hip-hop artist Drake on Instagram. The post’s first slide was a mirror selfie of Drake himself, while the caption remarked upon the fact that the image was a “mirror selfie”. The second image of the post showcased a mirror selfie of Duke Dennis. This image showed him in a Fendi head wrap, staring at the mirror, while rubbing his hands together.
Duke Dennis reacted to the mysterious post by Drake during a broadcast. He revealed that he “hated” that picture of himself and called it “weird”. At the same time, he labeled the photo “The Rizzalisa”. He also revealed that he and Drake had followed each other on Instagram.
