How does leveling work in Skyrim Oblivion Remastered, and what is the level cap in the game? Let’s find out for all the RPG lovers.

The level cap is how RPG games like Oblivion Remastered prevent players from becoming overpowered. Although the game cannot completely stop you from punishing your enemies like a boss once you’ve leveled up, the cap brings some limitations. All games place the level cap at different thresholds. What about the new Elder Scrolls Oblivion Remastered? Let’s find out.
Level Cap in The Elder Scrolls Oblivion Remastered

The leveling system in this game is pretty classic. It is tied to both your Major and Minor skills. Leveling up your skills gives you XP that progresses your overall level. Each time you level up, you will gain 12 Virtue Points to allocate to your seven major attributes: Strength, Intelligence, Willpower, Agility, Speed, Endurance, Personality, and Luck. Unlike the original Elder Scrolls Oblivion game, the number of points received in an attribute is not determined by how leveled up the related skill is.
With that said, if you level up your Major Skills, you will get a major chunk of XP toward your overall level. Minor Skills, however, will only give you less XP. There is only one way to level up your skills, and that is to continue playing. When using each skill, you will be increasing the associated rank.
The level cap for Oblivion Remastered is still under investigation. In the original game, however, it depended on your character selection but usually capped at Level 50. So, if the developers didn’t tweak it too much, we might just see the same character level cap at 50. If you want to reach this cap faster, we suggest focusing on Major Skills. Minor Skills can be useful at times, but they won’t give you a good chunk of XP like the major ones.
To reach that level cap in Oblivion Remastered, players need to rest or meditate each time they receive a level-up notification in the top-left corner of their screens.
