How To Get Ancient Seeds in Stardew Valley
In Stardew Valley, Ancient Seeds come in the form of artifacts and seed packs. You can get the artifact by digging artifact spots, fishing, hunting various types of bugs, and exploring the artifact troves. You may have to spend a fair bit of time on these activities before you secure an Ancient Seed artifact. Once you get it, head over to the Museum and donate it to Gunther. This rewards you with the Ancient Seed’s plantable recipe and also helps in completing the museum collection.
Putting other seeds in the Seed Maker also has a minor chance of dropping Ancient Seeds. But, you need to reach level 9 in farming to even craft the Seed Maker. The Traveling Cart can also provide ancient seeds in rare scenarios, but it only appears on Fridays and Sundays.
Uses of Ancient Seeds in Stardew Valley
You can choose to donate Ancient Seeds to the museum in Stardew Valley, or you can grow the Ancient Fruit. Plant ancient seeds and wait 28 days for the first Ancient Fruit to grow. You will get a fruit every seven days after that. If you want to optimize the process, utilize the Greenhouse or Ginger Island.
Ancient Fruits can be sold or gifted. Their base price varies between 550 -1100 gold coins. However, they can be further processed into Ancient Fruit Jelly and Ancient Fruit Wine, which sell for more. The process may take some time, but you will get a good profit. This is the most effective way to use Ancient Seeds in the game. Ancient Fruits can also be used to complete several bundles. Finally, Ancient Seeds can be used for making brown suits in the sewing machine.
