The PlayStation State of Play 2025 has the community buzzing with excitement. Here are some things we expect to be announced or teased.
The February 2025 broadcast of PlayStation’s State of Play is expected to be soon. The lineup of games, slated for a 2025 release seems to be enticing for gamers across the globe.
Here are some games we expect to appear at the next PlayStation State of Play 2025.

Director Hideo Kojima’s sequel to the original Death Stranding is set for a 2025 release. Moreover, it will be a PlayStation exclusive, which makes it more likely to appear at the February 2025 State of Play.
Additionally, Hideo Kojima recently tweeted a 20 second clip for Death Stranding 2, updating us on the status of the game. This makes it very likely that some sort of trailer or preview is set for the upcoming State of Play.
Grand Theft Auto 6
2025 will also see the long-awaited sequel of the Grand Theft Auto franchise. This game is a console exclusive, meaning it will be released on the Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5.
Despite this, no more updates have been provided by the developers so far. The last trailer we received was in December 2023. Therefore, the State of Play is a good time to unveil any more footage on what is easily the most anticipated game of the year.
Ghost of Yotei
The sequel by Sucker Punch Studios to 2020’s Ghost of Tsushima is set to release in 2025. Adding to this, we also know that it will be a PlayStation exclusive. We saw the game unveiled at the last State of Play in September 2024.
This game takes place in Hokkaido, Japan and will follow the journey of Atsu, a female warrior. This State of Play might be the perfect opportunity to release further details on this anticipated sequel.
Other Games Which Could Be Shown At State of Play 2025
There are many other heavy hitters which could also be shown at the February 2025 State of Play. There are some names which stand out among these.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows
The release of the next Assassin’s Creed game is coming up in March. Being so close to release, might have Ubisoft show us another trailer, or some footage from the game. Of course, it is having a multi-platform release, so that is one point to consider.
Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii
The newest Yakuza spin off is set to release in February 2025. This could prompt some new footage to surface at the upcoming State of Play. This game is also a multi-platform release.
Marvel’s Wolverine
Insomniac’s newest superhero game will take a shift from Spiderman to Wolverine. This game was unveiled in 2021, and we have not received any further details on it.
The official page for the game will tell us that it is being developed for PlayStation 5. Marvel fans should keep an eye out on this game, as there’s no telling when it might drop any new footage.
