Darren Jason Watkins Jr., aka “IShowSpeed,” was involved in a controversy in August 2023, which internet users refer to as the “IShowMeat” incident. During one of his livestreams at the time, the content creator accidentally showed his private parts.

During the livestream, IShowSpeed was jump-scared by a character named Chica from the game Five Nights at Freddy’s. After being frightened, the streamer quickly left his seat, which led to the controversial moment.

Viewers clipped the moment and shared it online, which led to “IShowMeat” and “IShowLeak” trending on Twitter/X. Several memes and posts were made online about the incident, but the content creator managed to evade a ban as the incident was unintentional.

Why IShowSpeed Was Not Banned by YouTube

Google and YouTube have guidelines prohibiting nudity in livestreams. But in situations where nudity is unintentional or accidental, content creators may evade bans. Moreover, IShowSpeed quickly removed the live stream from his channel, but some of his viewers had already clipped the moment.

While the streamer was let off the hook by YouTube, he found himself in trouble in other incidents. On August 3, 2024, the content creator livestreamed himself jumping over two luxury cars in Miami. The stream was removed from YouTube for violating the platform’s terms of service. Two days after its removal, the video was reinstated, but it now has an age restriction warning in place.

He also found himself in trouble on Twitch after a clip of him and TikToker Ash Kash went viral. During an e-dating show hosted by Adin Ross, IShowSpeed made offensive remarks about Ash. He was removed from the Discord call where the incident occurred and was later banned by Twitch.

The Content Creator’s Father Responded to the “IShowMeat” Incident

Speed’s father, Darren Watkins Sr., made a song about the whole incident. He called the song “I Show The Meat” and sang it in front of hundreds of Instagram followers. Last year, he made an official music video and posted it on YouTube on the DaddySpeed channel. The video went viral and gained over 8.5 million views.

The entire incident has become a running joke between Speed and his fellow content creators. Olajide Olayinka Williams Olatunji, aka KSI, brought up the incident during one of Speed’s livestreams.
