The prize pool for MrBeast’s upcoming game show is $5 million, making it the largest single prize pool in a reality show.
Jimmy Donaldson, aka MrBeast, announced Beast Games, a game show series created by him in partnership with Amazon Prime Video. Following the announcement, the show is now slated for release on December 19, 2024, on Prime Video, and the first episode will also be available for free on Twitch.
MrBeast has been promoting Beast Games as the biggest game show ever produced, and he revealed that the show has broken 40 Guinness World Records.
The show’s crew filmed the qualifiers at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada. Over a four-day event from July 18 to July 21, 2024, where 2,000 contestants competed. The organizers then selected the top 1,000 participants for the main event, which will start airing this week. The prize pool for the event is set at $5 million.
The main event was filmed in Toronto, Canada, near Downsview Airport. MrBeast and his production crew set up a $14 million set with houses, parks, and a basketball court to accommodate the contestants.
What To Expect From the Upcoming Show
MrBeast is no stranger to game shows. On his YouTube channel, MrBeast regularly hosts game shows, pitting everyone from viewers to other content creators against each other for prizes. Earlier this year, he posted a video where 50 YouTubers competed against each other for $1 million. Popular content creators like Kai Cenat, Logan Paul, and Ahgren were part of the competition.

Beast Games is one of MrBeast’s biggest projects to date, with a reported production budget of $100 million. The first episode of the show will be available on Twitch on the official MrBeast channel. While fans can enjoy the premiere for free on Twitch, they will need to head to Amazon Prime Video to watch the rest of the episodes as they go live.
Beast Games Will Air From December to February
Beast Games will air from December 19, 2024, to February 13, 2025. The show will follow a weekly release schedule. To watch the show, users can head to Prime Video and navigate to Beast Games using the search bar.

Teasers for the show have given hints at what to expect. MrBeast’s social media posts have revealed monster trucks, Navy SEALs, and even a pirate ship. In a statement to Variety magazine, MrBeast revealed:
“My goal is to make the greatest show possible and prove YouTubers and creators can succeed on other platforms. Amazon gave me the creative control I need to try and make it happen. I hope to make the YouTube community proud.”
Currently, Squid Game: The Challenge holds the record for the largest single prize money in a reality show with $4.56 million. Beast Games will surpass this milestone when it takes the number one spot upon release.
