For now, Grounded 2 is only available on Xbox and PC platforms; however, this article will explore its possibility of coming out on the PS5.
The sequel to the original Grounded, Grounded 2, recently released its Early Access on July 29, 2025. This release was limited to Xbox consoles and PC. Unfortunately, PlayStation players are left out for now.
If you want to play Grounded 2 right now as a PS4 or PS5 owner, you are out of luck. However, that doesn’t mean you will remain out of luck forever. If we track the original Grounded’s release date and its eventual PlayStation release date, we might estimate how long it will take for the sequel to be ported as well.

Grounded 2 on PS5: Possible Release Explored
Grounded 2 is still in Early Access, so it is difficult to say whether it will release on another platform. If we look at past precedents, we might be able to give a more accurate prediction.
The first Grounded game released in July 2020. This was also the Early Access version, similar to Grounded 2’s current state. At the time, it was only available on Xbox consoles and PC. The developers eventually launched the game on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation consoles in 2024.
That was a gap of four years, with two of those years spent in Early Access. This is about the same Early Access period predicted for Grounded 2, based on the roadmap we received.
Therefore, taking the 2025 release date into account, we can estimate the PlayStation port to arrive after three to four years, which would place it somewhere between 2028 and 2029.
