One of Twitch’s biggest names is gearing up to start his second-ever subathon (subscriber marathon). After teasing it for a couple of weeks, Kai Cenat has finally announced ‘Mafiathon 2.’ This 30-day streaming event will begin on November 1, 2024, at 6 PM EST (Eastern Time). The news was made official yesterday (October 29, 2024) through Cenat’s X.com account. The streamer posted a 2-minute-long skit video featuring Kim Kardashian, the popular American media personality.

The footage depicted Cenat speaking with Kardashian about his first subathon. Mafiathon 2 was announced towards the end of the video:

“Streaming for 30 days straight 24/7 starting November 1st. Hope You Enjoy.”

Kai Cenat’s Mafiathon 2 will be live-streamed on his official Twitch channel. At the time of writing, he had over 13.5 million followers. This makes him the 5th most followed streamer on the Amazon-owned platform (behind Ninja, Ibai, Auronplay and Rubius). Here is a link to his channel:

What Was Kai Cenat’s Record After His First Mafiathon?

Twitch streamer Kai Cenat made history with his first-ever subathon, Mafiathon. He started it on February 1, 2023, and by March 1, exactly one month later, he became the most subscribed Twitch streamer of all time, reaching a peak of 306K subscribers. He broke Ludwig’s previous record of 283K, set in April 2021.

Currently, the AMP member has over 69K subscribers (4th highest, behind Jynxzi, Caseoh_, and Ironmouse). However, the main driving factor behind his Mafiathon 2 is the recent breaking of his record in September 2024. Popular VTuber Ironmouse recently hosted a subathon, surpassing Cenat’s previous record by reaching over 326K subscribers.

Since Ironmouse broke his record, Cenat has hinted at plans to return with a second subathon. He did, however, congratulate Ironmouse on her achievement. During a press conference after an event, the AMP member said:

“I want to say one thing, first things first, I don’t know if you all know, my sub record got broken today. My world record for streaming? It got broken today. Somebody broke it, somebody took my record. I want to go ahead and congratulate Ironmouse. Clap it up!”

He then hinted at a possible return, stating:

“Look though, W Ironmouse you know what I am saying? She took the record. She really did that, you feel what I am saying? But I promise one thing to my supporters if it was broken. We will see what happens in the future.”

Kai Cenat officially announced his return to the subathon scene during a late-night stream on October 14, 2024, where he collaborated with WWE star and actor John Cena. In a playful moment, Cena held up a placard reading “Mafiathon 2,” confirming the upcoming event. During this segment, Cenat said:

“For those who don’t know, the record has been broken. So, it is time to suit up. So chat, I won’t be telling you when, but, the next time that you guys will be seeing me is when the Mafiathon begins.”
