When is Marvel Rivals launching on PS4?

Marvel Rivals is finally launching on the PlayStation 4 (PS4), allowing players on the older-generation Sony console to join the epic battles.

Since its launch in 2024, Marvel Rivals has seen a growing playerbase with new hero additions every season. Despite the popularity and great numbers, the playerbase was still limited since the game was only available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Gamers on older-generation consoles were left out of the foray as a whole. With Season 4 almost on the horizon, developer NetEase Games has finally added the PlayStation 4 as a compatible device.

You will be able to play Marvel Rivals on the PS4 (PlayStation 4) from September 12, 2025, when Season 4 launches. Even in current times, the PS4 is an extremely popular console that many gamers use. The addition of a new device will likely bring in a good chunk of players, especially the ones who did not upgrade to the PS5.

Is Marvel Rivals Confirmed on PlayStation 4 (PS4)?

Yes, Marvel Rivals will be available on the PS4 starting Season 4, which commences on September 12, 2025. The latest Season 4 trailer on YouTube revealed two brand new heroes, Daredevil and Angela, along with a sneaky logo at the very end. The epilogue screen of the trailer showed the PlayStation 4 logo at the end. This confirms that PS4 owners will be able to dive into the game from the next season, which is less than two weeks away. Since Marvel Rivals allows crossplay, PS4 gamers should be able to join in easily without breaking a sweat.

While this is great news for the older PS4 owners, it provides no information for the older generation Xbox owners. Marvel Rivals is currently unavailable on the Xbox One, and it stays that way, at least for Season 4. Xbox owners using the Series X|S can still access the game easily.
