YouTube streamer Darren Watkins Jr. aka IShowSpeed, who is originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, currently lives in Orlando, Florida.
Darren Watkins Jr. aka “IShowSpeed” (or simply “Speed”) is currently YouTube’s fastest-growing live streamer. The creator, at the time of writing, has over 32 million subscribers. For those unaware, Darren was born on January 21, 2005, in Cincinnati, Ohio. The first couple of years of streaming career were spent from this location (the streamer used to live with his mother). Currently, however, the streamer has changed his base. Darren bought his first house in Orlando, Florida, and mostly conducts his desktop streams from here.
According to Speed’s YouTube channel, the mansion cost around $10 million. He has also done a house tour which is available on his alternative YouTube channel – Live Speedy (12.2 million subscribers). Here are a couple of images from his house:
Despite the mansion, the streamer rarely stays put in his house for more than a few weeks. This year (2024) alone, he has conducted several tours – a Europe tour in June and July 2024 and a Southeast Asia tour in September 2024. He also visited India in October 2023 and Brazil in January 2024, with both tours becoming viral hits.
Who Does IShowSpeed Live With?
Since the beginning of IShowSpeed’s streaming career, he has streamed from his house in Ohio, where he lived until 2023. This is also the home where he grew up, and many of his viral streams, including the infamous incident where he lit fireworks inside his bedroom, took place there. Here, he lived with his mother and siblings.
Currently, IShowSpeed lives with his cameraman and manager, Slipz in his mansion in Orlando. They are often joined by guests, including Speed’s brother Dian (also known as Jamal), his father Darren Sr., and his uncle.
IShowSpeed has also collaborated with other creators in his house in Florida. He has worked with notable figures such as YouTuber JJ “KSI,” Twitch streamer Kai Cenat, and Kick streamer Adin Ross.
What Kind Of Streams Does IShowSpeed Conduct?
IShowSpeed’s content these days is quite diverse. Those who have followed him from the beginning will remember that he used to stream NBA 2K in his early days. Now, he has developed a larger-than-life persona and often conducts IRL streams.
His IRL streams have featured several high-profile guests, including Cristiano Ronaldo, Kim Kardashian, Neymar, and Lil Nas X. He has also collaborated with some of the biggest names in the creator scene, such as Jimmy “MrBeast” and the Beta Squad.
When conducting desktop streams, he plays a variety of games, including EAFC 25, Roblox, Minecraft, and other horror games. He also streams on Ome.tv (an alternative to Omegle), where he interacts with fans and strangers.
