Among many of the rarest minerals you can find in Prospecting, the Fire Opal is a legendary mineral that is difficult to obtain. You can find this rare mineral on the Caldera Island in the Roblox experience. There are three main locations where you have a chance to obtain the Opal. The Volcanic Sands, the Windswept Beach and the Volcano make up the Caldera Island. Apart from the main Volcanic Sands location, you can find the Opal in the Magma Furnace and the Infernal Heart.

All Collection Locations To Obtain the Fire Opal in Prospecting
First and foremost, make sure to unlock access to the Caldera Island or the Volcano islands, as the Robloxians call them. Find the Ferryman near Fortune Rivers to travel to the Caldera Island. The Flame Priest, who resides under the Volcano, can cast a Fire Protection spell in return for a Fire Opal. Apart from the spell, you will receive 100,000 EXP and 500 Meteor Shards. The only three locations where you will find the Fire Opal, with their chances, are as follows:
- Volcanic Sands – 1 in 717,247
- The Magma Furnace – 1 in 702,867
- The Infernal Heart – 1 in 339,295
The deeper you go into the Caldera Island’s volcano, the higher the chances of obtaining the mineral. With a Legendary rarity, the mineral is priced at a whopping $1,600,000. Keep in mind that you will have to obtain the Fire Protection spell from the Flame Priest to venture into the Magma Furnace and the Infernal Heart. Apart from the spell, you can use the Fire Opal in various other recipes.
Other Uses for the Fire Opal
You can use the Fire Opal to craft two Mythic rarity items. Both the Phoenix Wings and the Solar Ring require two Fire Opals. The following are the recipes to obtain both:
- Phoenix Wings
- 2x Fire Opal
- 2x Cinnabar
- 1x Flareboom
- Solar Ring
- 2x Fire Opal
- 1x Vortessence
- 10x Pyronium
- 1x Volcanic Core
Both the Phoenix Wings and the Solar Ring give your character a huge buff. It is recommended to craft these items to enhance your luck and capacity.
