Where Winds Meet is a game that takes pride in letting you be who you want to be, which is best represented by its customization options and, more importantly, its various careers. Careers, such as the Scholar career, are a sort of subclass that adds gameplay benefits to your overall experience. Scholars are immensely overpowered, allowing you to bail out other players in case of any trouble.
The Scholars also hold up incredibly well as far as bounties go, and are essential for completing bounties. There’s a lot you can do with this career, and if you don’t know how to unlock it, our guide is here to help.
How To Unlock the Scholar Career in Where Winds Meet
You can unlock the Scholar career in Where Winds Meet by following the steps below:
- Hit Level 13. This is a bit of a grind, but you can do this easily by following the main story quests. You’ll hit a level cap at Level 10, which you can break through by doing the Breakthrough missions.
- Once you’re at that level, head over to Moonveil Mountain and begin the Legacy: Scholar’s Path exploration quest. This quest will be marked on your map.
- Head to the marked location and you’ll find Yan Huaijin at Deeforage Grove.
- Speak to the NPC, and you’ll find him troubled by something. Yan Huaijin is going through somewhat of a midlife crisis, and it’s now your job to pull him out of his despair.
- Follow the objective to the nearby building, and climb your way up to the second floor. Speak to Wei Rujun here, who is on the verge of burning his notes. Rujun lost his daughter to his work and is now on the verge of tragic madness.
- Talk to Wei Rujun and use Gift of Gab to defeat him in a debate.
- Win the debate and speak to him again, and he’ll agree to keep his notes.
- Return to Yan Huaijin, and you’ll unlock the Scholar career. You’ll also unlock the Unarguable Card Level 2 in Infuriating Nitpicking. Take note that you’ll only unlock the Novice Tier of the Scholar career. You’ll then have to work your way up.
