Learn how to treat the goose in the To Heal or Not To Heal side quest, use Wind Sense correctly, avoid failure, and earn steady rewards.
You will find the To Heal or Not To Heal side quest while exploring the Qinghe region in Where Winds Meet. A diseased goose will be resting on the riverbank, and your job is to stabilise it using your Healer skills. You can use the Healer Career you unlocked after reaching Level 13 and completing the Mercyheart Town introduction with Mu Jian.
By this point, you already know how Wind Sense works, how prescription cards behave, and how healing failure can bring consequences. Be prepared because these are going to be in use in this quest.
How To Complete To Heal or Not to Heal in Where Winds Meet
Start the Quest
You start by walking to the Qinghe riverbank. The map marker takes you straight to the goose. Once you interact, Wind Sense activates the diagnostic view. On PC, you press V, and on console, you hold the right joystick. This view highlights the parts of the goose that are affected and lists the treatments that fit the condition.
Your success depends heavily on your Healer rank. The recommended tier is Initiate Tier 4. Anything lower makes the treatment unstable. If you are behind, you can take a shortcut by buying Career Notebooks from the Activity Shop. These add direct progress to your Career tier and help you cross the Tier 4 mark faster.
Your prescriptions also matter. Each treatment card has a strength value, and weak cards fail more often. Before attempting the quest, you can buy Healer Giftboxes from the Activity Shop. These raise your prescription efficacy so the treatment you pick hits at full strength. Using both Career Notebooks and Healer Giftboxes makes the healing step far smoother.
Once you start the treatment, you choose a prescription based on what Wind Sense shows. This step becomes easier if your prescriptions are upgraded. If the treatment succeeds, the goose recovers and the quest completes.
If You Fail To Heal the Goose
If you fail, the goose flips into a berserk state. This turns the quest into a fight. The berserk goose hits extremely hard. In solo play, it can drop you in a few fast hits. In multiplayer, its stats scale higher, making it even more punishing. You need strong dodges here because the goose chains attack with almost no pause.
If you brought healing weapons like the Panacea Fan or Soul Shade Umbrella, you can use their self-healing effects to stay alive during the fight. The fan helps with ranged healing, and the umbrella gives a healing totem and a burst heal.
If the fight feels rough or unwinnable, you can step back and wait. The quest resets at 5:00 AM in real-world time, which gives you another chance the next day.
