Oompaville is a 28-year-old American YouTuber, also known as Caleb Hunter Phelps, known for his reaction videos. His content mainly consists of him reacting to memes and Twitch clips, using Omegle, and commenting on ongoing news or YouTube drama. Initially, he started uploading gaming videos on his channel, but later in 2019, he removed all of them. He then switched to reaction videos and content.
He often watches unusual animation videos from various channels like Actually Happened and Share My Story. Oompaville has captured the attention of millions through his humorous and engaging content. Born in the United States, he was fascinated by video games and comedy from a young age. These two elements later blended together to form the foundation of his rise to fame. He reached the 1 million mark in 2019 and also started collaborating with other notable YouTubers.
He solidified his place in the YouTube community by uploading videos that include gaming walk-throughs, reviews, comedy sketches that highlight daily life situations, and reaction videos relating to viral and trending content. Oompaville’s Interview With MrBeast
Recently, MrBeast did an interview with Oompaville where he opened up about all the recent allegations that he had been facing. The reason why he was silent was the three-month investigation surrounding the allegations on Ava Kris Tyson. He also said that he has been advised to not talk about the situation publicly in order to protect the integrity of the investigation.
Moreover, MrBeast also said that he would like to sue former employee DogPack404 for spreading misinformation. He said,
“What do you do if someone is just spreading misinformation about you and causing harm to your business… Like getting to the point where you might have to actually fire people because it’s costing so much revenue?”
MrBeast also told Oompaville that his team does not use any CGI to make videos. All the clips are made by his team, and they spend a good amount on them. Even though a lot of allegations were talked about in the 2-and-a-half-hour-long interview, Oompaville received a lot of backlash for “missing out” on some of them. To which he replied,
“My philosophy was I’m gonna let him say what he wants and this is going to be his form of response. If he is a hypocrite, and people can prove him to be a hypocrite, so be it. I don’t have the ‘dog’ in me, the journalistic integrity dog. The genius guy who can remember things that matter. I didn’t mean for it to be bad. I wanted it to be a meaningful source of information that people can watch and then fact check it themselves. I didn’t intend for this to be the end of the conversation. I didn’t go with an agenda. I missed a lot of questions, so I get 99.9% of the criticism.”
