Gaming YouTuber CoryxKenshin finally returned to YouTube on December 13, 2024. He revealed working on a new manga series.
One of the most popular gaming YouTubers Cory “CoryxKenshin” made a surprising return to YouTube on December 13, 2024. He currently has over 19 million subscribers. For context, the creator’s last upload was in June 2023. Since then, he mysteriously disappeared from the online scene. Before his unannounced hiatus, the YouTuber was in the news for his cameo in the live-action movie Five Nights at Freddy’s.
He announced his return to YouTube after sharing a minute-and-a-half-long trailer of his new manga series project titled Monsters We Make. The animated series will officially drop on December 16, 2024. This explains his absence for such a long time since the creation of such a big project typically takes months of planning and execution.
Currently, it’s unclear if Cory will return to YouTube full-time or if it was just for the announcement. Speaking to his fans, he said this:
“hey everyone, not the face you were expecting today. I hope you’ve been well over this long period of time of us not seeing each other…Praise God, it is good to finally be back.”
What Is CoryxKenshin’s Manga Project?
CoryxKenshin is one of the most prominent gamers on YouTube. For those unfamiliar with his content, he is best known for his comedic playthroughs of horror games, including Five Nights at Freddy’s (2014) and Bloodborne (2015).
Since June 2023, the YouTuber has been on an unexplained hiatus. Although he was occasionally spotted in public, he never addressed the reason for his absence. Yesterday, he finally made his return, announcing his upcoming manga series, Monsters We Make.

While details about the series remain scarce, the creators revealed it as a sci-fi animated project. The trailer features monsters and characters battling them, possibly hinting at a horror theme. Cory is credited as one of the writers. Monsters We Make is set to release on December 16, 2024. The show’s studio is The Line, an independent animation studio based in London. They have previously worked with major names such as League of Legends, Nickelodeon, Virgin Media, Gucci, and Doritos.
Fans are quite excited about the creator’s comeback and his thrilling new project. At the time of writing, it has not yet been announced where the show will be streamed.
