Rapper and Kick streamer Franky “KodiyakRedd” Venegas is in jail due to multiple criminal charges. Florida police arrested him and took him to the Collier County Sheriff’s Office. He is currently in jail, and according to the official arrest records, Venegas was allegedly in possession of a controlled substance without a prescription.

The rapper was also charged with possession, sale, or delivery of an illegal firearm. He might be facing up to five years in prison and/or a fine of up to $5,000. His twin brother, Alex “Flyysoulja,” has not commented on the incident so far.

The twins are known as the Island Boys and have released multiple songs together. The Venegas brothers have been involved in multiple controversies over the years. They have feuded with Logan Paul, Jake Paul, Bryce Hall, and other content creators.

KodiyakRedd is Facing Multiple Criminal Charges

According to the official records, KodiyakRedd is facing multiple criminal charges, including:

“Possession of a controlled substance without a prescription and possession, sale, or delivery of a firearm with a serial number altered or removed.”

According to American law firm Roelke Law:

“A conviction for possession of a controlled substance is generally considered a felony of the third degree, which is punishable by a sentence of up to five years in a Florida state prison and/or a fine up to $5,000.”

The law also states that convicted individuals cannot own or possess firearms, vote, hold certain jobs, and/or seek government aid. KodiyakRedd is awaiting trial, but he might be out on bail shortly.

The Island Boys’ Other Controversies

This is not the first time KodiyakRedd has landed in trouble. In January 2022, he faced domestic abuse allegations from Instagram influencer Montaisha Shanell. During the same year, he allegedly hit his brother’s girlfriend but faced no charges. In 2023, he was arrested on domestic battery charges by his girlfriend.

The twins have feuded with multiple content creators, including Logan Paul, Jake Paul, Adam “Adam22,” and Bryce Hall. They also had feuds with mainstream celebrities like Calvin “Snoop Dogg” Broadus and Kevin Hart.

In January 2022, authorities caught the Island Boys promoting a United States (U.S.) Army recruiter named Orlando Tamez. The incident went viral and received a stay order from the U.S. Army Recruiting Command.

In February 2022, the police raided the Venegas brothers’ home after catching them associating with Andrew James Thomas, who had killed an 8-year-old girl. The duo’s manager, Dovi Bezner, told the media:

“We had no clue about any of these allegations towards him. We just knew him as a good person, someone that grew up with the Island Boys. If we knew something like this was going on we never would have allowed him on the property.”

A U.S. court found Thomas guilty of first-degree murder after arresting him at the Venegas brothers’ home. Following the incident, Flyysoulja spoke out against gun violence.
