Jack Doherty faces another ban on Kick after an assault controversy during a live stream, adding to his history of controversial incidents.
Controversial streamer Jack Doherty found himself at the center of another incident when someone assaulted him during a Kick livestream. A man donning a Black balaclava slapped the streamer, after which Jack and his bodyguard chased the individual down and beat him up. The 21-year-old was banned from the Stake-owned platform shortly after the incident was streamed live. Jack was streaming with music artist Joshua Block, popularly known as “World of T-shirts.”\
Reports suggest that the individual who slapped Jack was a stream sniper harassing the streamers for some time. At the time of the incident, Jack was also live streaming on the newly launched platform, Parti. Parti is a fresh entrant in the streaming world, designed to offer creators better earning opportunities and a supportive community.
Following his ban from Kick, Jack announced that he would continue streaming on Parti. He tweeted that he was banned from TikTok and Kick on the same day, expressing gratitude that he still has Parti.
This isn’t Doherty’s first run-in with Kick’s policies. Approximately three months ago, the platform permanently banned Jack Doherty after he crashed his McLaren sports car during a live stream. He reportedly got distracted by his phone, reading chat messages while driving in wet conditions. The crash resulted in significant damage to the vehicle and minor injuries to both Doherty and his passenger.
Netizens Weigh In on Jack Doherty’s Recent Controversy
After the incident went viral on X, many users commented on the streamer’s recent controversy. Several users noted that it was a rare Doherty ‘W,’ meaning that it was rare that Jack reciprocated the actions and won. Moreover, some netizens claimed that the incident was a setup and the individual was paid. However, Jack has not responded to the claims.
Some comments on the clip stated:
“W Jack for once” wrote @Suayrez.
“isn’t Security supposed to prevent the first slap from happening and not just beating the breaks of people?” stated @2KIntel.
“Setup and that dude prob got paiddd” wrote @Onetimecards.
An X user also posted a compilation of Jack Doherty getting slapped on stream.
