During his 30-day subathon, Mafiathon 2, Kai Cenat pledged to donate 20% of his revenue to help build schools in the African country, Nigeria.
Twitch streamer Kai Cenat hosted a successful 30-day subathon in November 2024, and even before he started off with day 1, he garnered a lot of attention. He pledged that 20% of his revenue from the subathon will go into funding for schools in Nigeria. Kai’s Mafiathon 2 ended up being a hit and also helped him create a new Twitch record for most subscribers. He made the announcement on his official Instagram account and said,
“I visited Nigeria not too long ago and I absolutely loved it…I say that to say this for the next 30 days while I’m streaming, 20% of all revenue will be going straight to the school that I am still currently building for the kids of Mokoko. We will be going out-of-pocket funding this entire project with a full staff, classrooms, uniforms, etc. 20% of November, starting tomorrow.”
Additionally, he also shared some of the layouts of the schools that he plans to build in Nigeria on his Instagram stories. He added,
“Here are some of the layouts of what I plan to do! A lot of this support in the next month will help big! Thank you.”
Kai Cenat Provides an Update on the Schools
Kai Cenat currently has a massive following of 15.60 million on his Twitch channel. During a livestream on December 24, 2025, Cenat addressed the kids of Makoko, Nigeria, saying that he “will be back.” He also said that the school that he is intending to build “is going to be done.”
“To the kids of Makoko – I will be back. I will be back, and when I’m back, the school is going to be done. The process has begun. It’s going to be a beautiful story. We’ve got a whole bunch of money to fund it. And I’ll also be putting in more money on top of it to make sure we can fund all the staff and the school and everybody who works there and sh*t.”
Additionally, Kai Cenat also wished his audience a very Merry Christmas during the stream. He said,
“Hope you guys have a Merry Christmas. I will see you guys soon, and you know, it’s going to be fire, bro. It’s going to be fire! I will see you guys soon. We’re going to have everything rolling soon. 2025 is a huge year. Okay?”
