Dying Light The Beast fell into hot water when its release date was postponed a few months ago. This drew criticism from fans, many of whom believed it to be a sign of an impending rocky launch. Techland stated that the delay to September 19 was to help the devs iron out issues and polish the game.

Dying Light The Beast is now releasing a day early because the game felt “ready.” Adding on to this, with the increasing hype surrounding The Beast, Techland took it upon themselves to reward the hype by releasing the game early. Franchise director Tymon Smektała said the following in a press release.

“Seeing the excitement from our community for the return of Kyle Crane in Dying Light: The Beast and knowing the game is ready, we wanted to do something special for our players,”

“We pushed ourselves to make the impossible possible, and that’s why we’re releasing the game a little earlier. I can’t wait to see players’ reactions when they finally step into the world of The Beast.”

Dying Light The Beast hit a million pre-orders across platforms, and the devs wanted to push the release up in celebration. The game will now be released on September 18, 2025, at 9:00 AM PDT.
