Wildgate is a PvP shooter that throws you right into space with one goal: extract the Artifact. If you have crossplay enabled on console, the game will queue you up against players on different platforms. If you end up against someone on PC, they have the keyboard and mouse advantage, which could be difficult to beat.

How To Turn Off Crossplay in Wildgate

You can turn off crossplay in Wildgate by following the steps:
- Launch Wildgate and get into the main menu.
- Click on the settings icon on the top right to go to the settings.
- Here, navigate to the Matchmaking section.
- You will find the Crossplay setting here. You can toggle it on or off as you see fit.
- Save your settings and head back to the main menu.
Now, when you queue up, you’ll be against players based on the setting you chose. If it were off, you would only be against players from your own platform. If it were on, you’d be pitted against players from different platforms.
There are banes and boons to toggling crossplay off in Wildgate. As a console player, you won’t have to play against PC players, which results in balanced matches. However, the queue times are much longer with crossplay off. Keep this in mind when you toggle the setting.
