MindsEye’s upcoming release has fans wondering about its Game Pass future—here’s what to consider based on current details.
MindsEye, the debut title from Build A Rocket Boy, has generated plenty of buzz ahead of its upcoming release. Launching on June 10, 2025, for Xbox Series X|S, PS5, and PC (via Steam and Epic Games Store), MindsEye introduces players to Jacob Diaz, a former soldier grappling with the memories and possible hallucinations caused by a powerful neural implant.
Set in the futuristic city of Redrock, the narrative focuses on uncovering a shadowy conspiracy involving rogue artificial intelligence, corporate overreach, and unchecked military power.
With its intriguing mix of third-person action and near-future setting, it’s no surprise that Xbox users are curious about whether the game will be part of the Xbox Game Pass lineup. MindsEye will not be available on Xbox Game Pass at launch. The game will be offered on the Xbox Game Store at a relatively modest $59.99 (lower than the rising $70–$80 trend in AAA gaming).

MindsEye: Will it Feature on Xbox Game Pass in the Future
Usually, when determining a title’s chances for featuring on Xbox Game Pass, it is helpful to look at the developer and publisher’s history with the platform. However, MindsEye is Build A Rocket Boy’s first game, so it’s difficult to predict whether the game will migrate to Xbox Game Pass post-launch.
Still, there’s reason to believe that a future appearance on Game Pass isn’t out of the question. Microsoft has increasingly embraced adding high-profile third-party titles to the service several months after launch. If MindsEye performs well commercially or garners a strong community following, Build A Rocket Boy may consider partnering with Microsoft to bring the game to the subscription platform as a way to expand its audience further down the line.
Another factor to consider is the game’s long-term support model. The studio has already confirmed a post-launch roadmap featuring regular content drops consisting of new missions, game modes, and even multiplayer tied to both the main story and user-generated content. Bringing the title to Game Pass at a later stage could serve as a second launch, drawing in players who may have initially passed on the game and giving new life to its online community.
