Finish Roman’s Challenge

While The Island has been marketed heavily as an online social experience, it features offline quests in the form of Roman’s Challenge. With only Chapter 1 of this story out so far, you play through four different zones, each with its own set of quests. These matches can be played offline, and we highly recommend finishing the offline story mode first. This gives you sufficient VC to level up before you head out into the Wild West, which is multiplayer.

VC is the most important currency in The Island for upgrading your character and making other purchases. You earn VC in The Island by mainly playing matches and completing match actions during the match. Making time for daily and weekly challenges and progressing XP levels also earns you plenty of VC. As stated earlier, you also earn VC by completing the story quests in the Roman’s Challenge mode. VC is shared across characters, so we recommend building multiple characters to farm VC in the offline quests.
Getting Stronger

Since the online multiplayer is a big part of The Island experience, it is important that you get stronger to face other players. You do so by upgrading your overall using the VC currency in the game. The Cruiserweight and Light Heavyweight builds are the ones that can be maxed out at the lowest costs. We recommend picking one of these two builds if you’re tight on money.
