A team that pays attention to its anti-dive tactics in Marvel Rivals will hardly ever lose a match. This is because “anti-dive” refers to a strategy that prevents the enemy team from “diving” into their backline. With this, your healers and “poking” Duelists like Hawkeye, Punisher, Black Widow, etc. are safe. While there are many anti-dive heroes on the roster, not everyone is efficient in each composition.

Protect the Backline With These Anti-Dive Marvel Rivals Heroes

Kindly note that this list is not official and is unranked. Moreover, it is subject to the writer’s opinions. Selecting these heroes does not tackle skill. If you take these heroes and don’t know how to use their abilities, the enemy divers might outsmart you. But with that said, the following heroes have kits that can counter dive heroes:

  • The Thing
  • Peni Parker
  • Mantis
  • Namor
  • Winter Soldier

Those who want to know more about these anti-dive heroes and why they are put on this list can scroll below for further explanation.

1. The Thing

First introduced in Season 1.5, The Thing has been punishing the divers ever since. He has a ground slam ability which comes in use when punishing a diver. Since he is a brawler, he will be fighting against the enemy front line. But whenever needed, The Thing can leap to his allies in the back, use his primary attack on the enemy diver, then use his ground slam to “earthbound” them. This will prevent the diver from using any escape abilities. The backline can then finish off the diver.

2. Peni Parker

Peni Parker‘s bionic nest is one of the best anti-dive abilities in Marvel Rivals. Once applied in an area, it will keep on spawning arachno-mines wherever the cyber-webs on the ground go. The arachno mines track enemies on the cyber-web and damage them over time. However, Peni can also lay down some mines in certain areas that deal burst damage and are triggered by proximity. So, if a support is standing in one place with mines surrounding them, they will be untouchable by a diver.

3. Mantis

Mantis is one of the most aggressive healers in the game. Her playstyle is not about standing in one place and blowing heals all over the map. Instead, she needs to hit targets to farm for “life force” (the four leaves on the screen) and then use this force to heal or damage buff her teammates. She gains healing over time when using her life force. However, the best feature of this character is her anti-dive ability. Mantis can use her sleep ability to control a diving character. It is an AoE ability that produces a splash effect and puts an enemy to sleep who is within the radius. She can simply use this CC ability at her feet to eliminate the enemy.

4. Namor

One of the best anti-dive heroes is Namor. Although he is pretty effective as a flanking character, getting rid of the enemy supports, his ability to summon monstro spawn makes him a dangerous character. The cephalopod turrets can auto-aim and target divers. With the new Hulk team-up, the gamma squid can burn through enemies in no time.

5. Winter Soldier

Bucky can play all types of roles in Marvel Rivals. He can flank the enemy team, brawl against the Vanguards, and even act as an anti-dive hero. His two abilities, Bionic Hook, and Tainted Voltage can work well against diving heroes. Whenever a diver comes by, all a Winter Soldier player has to do is use his Tainted Voltage to slow them down, then use his Bionic Hook to reel them in and punish them for diving.
