These side quests in Dragon Age: The Veilguard feature the best compelling narration that matches the depth of the story quests.
BioWare’s Dragon Age: The Veilguard offers a plethora of quests for players to explore the lore of The Veilguard. In addition to the primary story quests, there are side quests, adding extra depth to the narration. These are divided into companion quests and region quests
Some of the side quests hold equal value to those of the story quests. They open up extra narratives, enabling the players to understand the story from different perspectives. Here we have listed some of the best side quests you don’t want to miss in Dragon Age: The Veilguard.
1) Pinnacle Of Its Kind
Pinnacle Of Its Kind is one of the most challenging quests in The Veilguard. It will be initiated after completing the Restless Spirits quest. In Pinnacle Of Its Kind, you need to defeat a demon ‘The Formless One’ at Necropolis that was sealed a long time ago. The main demon is linked with three separate demons at Dock Town, Arlathan Forest, and Hossberg Wetlands.
Finding and defeating the three demons allows you to enter the sealed door at the Necropolis to face the final demon ‘The Formless One’ Dragon. It is a high dragon that is found only by playing this quest. This quest will challenge your combat skills in the game to the fullest.
2) Desperate In Dock Town
Desperate In Dock Town is the follow-up to the treasure-hunting quest ‘A Hidden Hoard’. Find and defeat the Demon of Desperation at the Forgotten Sanctuary in Desperate In Dock Town. Head deep into the Catacomb to confront the Demon of Desperation.
It is one of the most well-written quests, focussing on a Demon that manipulates the desperate people at Dock Town and enjoys their sufferings. This quest emphasizes that people can do anything when they are desperate which may eventually result in harm.
3) Something Wicked
The “Something” series of quests follows a short story, focussing on a village infested by Darkspawn. You need to join allies with Grey Wardens, such as Antoine and Evka, and eradicate the demons at the Lavendel. Find and destroy the source of blight at the Hossberg Wetlands. Completing the Something Wicked quest unlocks a follow-up quest called “Something’s Coming.”
Completing these quests helps Antoine and Evka to retire and live a peaceful happy life. In addition to that, Antoine will become the new Griffon master if you decide to make the Griffons return to Grey Wardens at the end of Davrin’s questline.
4) In Memoriam
In Memoriam is a dark quest in Dragon Age: The Veilguard, and its quite unique. This quest will bring out the detective in you, where you must solve the consecutive murders at Dock Town. The Spirit of Compassion guides and helps you throughout the quest.
The quest involves finding three murder victims and solving the market murder along with the Spirit of Compassion. Quests like In Memoriam and Desperate In Dock Town narrate the pain and suffering of the townspeople.
5) Partners In A Dangerous Crime
Partners In A Dangerous Crime is another well-written side quest of The Veilguard. This is also a detective-type quest that looks fresh and keeps players away from the world-saving narration for some time.
Antivan Crows and the Venatori are two rivalries in Treviso. Although the quest starts by tracking the secret meeting between a Crow and a Venatori, it ends with an emotional twist. You need to make a choice that puts you in a dilemma that questions your morality.
