Players will come across a group of shepherds during the Finding Mutt Quest. These poor shepherds will have a problem with a wolf pack attacking them and their sheep. You will find the Hunting The Werewolf Mission among one of these shepherds. The quest is more difficult than the other Shepherd side missions. The other shepherds’ quests were largely built on Henry’s investigation skills and a little bit of fighting.
The Werewolf quest, however, is more combat-focused, and the tricky terrain you will encounter is not going to make things easier either. So in this article, we will go through the entire quest and help you with completing it.
How To Complete Hunting the Werewolf Mission in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2

First, you will have to speak to Shepherd Natan to start the quest. He will be somewhere in the northern region of Semine. When you speak to him, he will tell you that he is having some issues with his flock of sheep, just like the other shepherd. However, he will also say that he does not think some ordinary wolves are harassing him. He believes that a Werewolf is the root of this problem. This is the beginning of the KCD 2 Hunting The Werewolf quest.
Track The Blood

Natan will tell you that he found some blood with a sheep’s ear next to it, but there was no corpse. You will need to find this blood and inspect it. So head east, and you will start noticing a trail of blood on the road. It will lead you to a small abandoned farm with a crossroad beside it. There you will see the pool of blood mentioned earlier and an arrow. Take the arrow and use Mutt’s track command on the arrow. Soon you will come across a dense forest. Let’s go find an archery master Werewolf.
Deal With The Vagabonds And Report To Natan

However, be careful when you enter the forest because there will be a lot of wolves around. And if you get into a fight, Mutt will have to start tracking again from a location where he can find the scent. After following Mutt for a while, you will find a vagabond camp in the woods. There will be three enemies there, and you can try talking to them. Usually, they patrol around the camp. So, we recommend that you take them out silently instead because it will be much easier.
Once you have dealt with all three vagabonds, you will notice a sacrificial lamb set in the middle of the camp in a ritualistic manner. This is Natan’s missing sheep. Now that the mystery is over and it is evident that it was only the work of some vagabonds and no Werewolf was involved, go back to Natan. Report your findings to Natan, and unlike the players, he will be rather happy that there is no Werewolf hunting down his flock of sheep. Natan will then give you the following:
Rewards:
- 25 Groschen
- Schnapps
- Weak Savior Schnapps
- 3 Bandages
- 2 Cooked Onions
- Bread
- Even Die
Conclusion
That is the end of Kingdom Come Deliverance 2’s Hunting The Werewolf side quest. It is a short endeavor but a tricky one for sure. We understand that it can frustrate some players that there was no real Werewolf, but KCD 2’s world is a grounded one, so the developers naturally did not include any supernatural elements.
