Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 is an RPG through and through, and nothing defines an RPG quite like its narrative choices. Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 is filled with several choices along its 50+ hour campaign, all of which factor into the game’s main ending.

One of the harder choices in the game comes during the Bad Blood quest. In this quest, the herb woman Bozhena informs you that her daughter Pavlena has gone missing. Your search for the young girl across Troskowitz seemingly bears no fruit until you’re tipped off on the Woodcutter Dushko.

Following along Dushko’s trail takes you to several leads, eventually bringing you to Pavlena herself. After you save Pavlena from the brink of death and reunite her with her mother, Bozhena asks you to do her one last favor: kill the farmer Jakesh, the mastermind behind the whole ordeal.

Sparing or killing Jakesh is one of the harder choices in the game, as it carries a lot of moral ambiguity. If you’re having a tough time making a choice here, we’re here to help. In this guide, we shall help you decide if you should kill or spare Jakesh in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2.

Accept Bozhena’s request to kill Jakesh, and you can then find him on your map. Head to the location and confront the crooked old man about the attempt on Pavlena’s life. The man denies the claims, claiming that he never orchestrated any plan to kill Pavlena. Jakesh states that he is willing to broker peace and believes that Pavlena shouldn’t have to suffer for the deeds of Bozhena. For the troubles his men caused, Jakesh offers to compensate Bozhena and gives his word that he won’t do anything bad to them.

This switch in character comes as a shock, for all this while Jakesh was painted as a ruthless man hellbent on revenge. Yet here, he wishes for peace and wants no harm. Taking his intentions into consideration, we recommend sparing Jakesh. He may hold grudges but proves himself to be one to not act on them.

Sparing him will bring Bozhena and Pavlena back to the village. The herbwoman will then give you half of the money she received from Jakesh. If you choose to kill Jakesh, however, your reputation with the two women will increase, unlocking new dialogue options. We recommend sparing Jakesh, as it is the right thing to do.
