How To Unlock Rathalos in Monster Hunter Wilds

The process of unlocking this monster is quite simple; players have to start the King of the Skies optional quest. The description of the quest is as follows: “An investigator surveying the Forbidden Lands has reported a particularly formidable large monster.” To unlock this quest, players have to be HR 9 or higher, and the main objective is to hunt down the Rathalos before time expires.
