What is the upcoming Marvel Rivals Clone Rumble game mode all about? Here’s all we know so far before the mode arrives.

Marvel Rivals just announced a new Clone Rumble game mode that is set to come out on March 7, 2025, as per the official Discord channel. The time is yet to be confirmed. The trailer shows two teams in a 6v6, as usual.
However, the unusual part in the opening of the trailer was that everybody had selected Mister Fantastic. Although a lot of clear information is missing on the mode right now, we have tried our best to gather information from official Marvel Rivals handles to deliver to the fans!
Marvel Rivals Clone Rumble: How Will It Work?
Basic Rules

As mentioned earlier, it appears to be a regular 6v6 game mode like Quick Play and Competitive. However, things differ here because now all players will be allowed to pick the same character if they wish, much like in the Doom Match mode. But how does it work? The official Discord channel for the game suggests that each team will decide on picking one character. This will probably work like the suggestion everyone drops in the ranks of Diamond and higher when banning a hero.
So, each team will decide on one character, giving it allowance in the match. Now, both the teams can either pick the character they allowed or pick a hero that the enemy team voted for. We are not sure yet how the enemy heroes will be revealed and whether they can be changed mid-match. However, it seems like players will be able to freely change between these two allowed heroes while waiting to be spawned.
Potentially a Limited-Time Mode

It appears that, unlike Doom Match, the new mode will be time-restricted. While the Arcade modes like Doom Match come to stay for at least a Season, this Clone Rumble in Marvel Rivals could instead be similar to the sporty game mode Clash of the Dancing Lions.
We say this because the new mode also has a progress-tracking mini-game, which is only present in limited-time events. However, it will also allow us to earn some exciting rewards, as is evident by the board game shown in the trailer (refer to the image above).
A New Skin

Several costumes have been featured in the Store since the game’s full release on December 6, 2024. What’s funny is that Black Widow is one of the heroes who hasn’t had a lot of costumes since then. She has her MCU look from her solo movie and the one introduced in the Fortune and Colors event a while back. Now, she is getting one more costume as part of this event, and it looks like it could be free.
If your luck aligns, the board game will gift you the Mrs. Barnes skin (for lack of an official name at the time of writing). She has the same cowboy theme that Rocket Raccoon has in his Season 1 Battle Pass skin. So the theme for this one might also be 1872.
