It’s that time of the year again. Here is when you can expect the Minecraft April Fools 2025 Update to release.
It is now something of a customary practice for Mojang to release an update on the first of April of every year. These updates usually involve some mechanical or texture changes, which affect the game in a fun and bizarre way.
Fans are expecting the April Fools Update for 2025 to be releasing soon as well. Although the update is not yet out, we can expect it to be released soon based on the data of previous updates.
When Can We Expect the Minecraft April Fools Update 2025
Although we don’t have a release time yet, we can expect the update to drop on April 1, 2025. All of the previous updates were also dropped on April’s Fools day. Moreover, it wouldn’t make sense if the April Fools update was dropped after the day was over.
However, eastern fans might have to wait a while because Minecraft updates typically drop in the mornings for western time zones. Therefore, we expect it to be the same this time around.

It can be very hard to predict these updates due to the sheer volume of content in the game. Any of these hundreds of items may be changed. However, this month will also see the Minecraft Movie come out in a few days. So this snapshot might have some references to that production.
Typically, we see some gameplay changes, where items work differently from their intended ways. More changes could easily include some texture changes or new forms of enemies.
Previous updates saw an entire poisonous potato dimension and an update where you can only hold one block. So, you never know what to expect with these April Fools updates. The next snapshot is of course expected to do something novel from before, however, we will have to wait until this gets confirmed.
