Where To Find the Trident in Minecraft?
The Trident is a mythical, three-pronged spear weapon used by the water god Poseidon. In Minecraft, you can find it in deep waters under the ocean or lakes. As the weapon is unavailable individually, you must retrieve it from the water by killing the Drowned mobs.
These mobs can be discovered 58 blocks deep, indicated in the game directions as Y=58 or lower. Considering how short the swimming window is, you can drink the Water Breathing spell to develop the skill to breathe underwater for three minutes. You can search for Ocean Ruins and find the Drowned mobs there that may have the Trident.
If you’re tired of searching for the Trident underwater, you can always find the Drowned inside Dripstone Caves. Additionally, they spawn more frequently in these caves than in the ocean. Still, looking for the Trident in the ocean is more convenient since finding Dripstone Caves can be an issue due to their much lower discovery rates.
Uses of Trident in Minecraft
The Trident is prominently used as a weapon against numerous mobs. If you throw it at a villager, they can transform into a Zombie Villager, but the transformation rate highly depends on your world’s difficulty.
Additionally, you can spawn lightning on a mob or another player in stormy weather. To do it, you must enchant your Trident with the Channeling enhancement.
