Here’s a guide for brewing the Water Breathing Potion in Minecraft.
The vast world of Minecraft is hiding numerous mysterious locations for you to discover. While the Overworld and Nether are explored thoroughly, the underwater part is always left out.
Since your oxygen can run out pretty quickly, the underwater areas are less likely to be explored. However, with a Water Breathing potion, you can explore them without a second thought. Here’s how you can make the Water Breathing potion in Minecraft.
Making a Water Breathing Potion in Minecraft
The Water Breathing potion can allow you to stay underwater for an additional ten minutes. You can maximize your efficiency in searching for items lost in the deep waters.
To make the potion, you will need a Pufferfish and an Awkward Potion. For the latter, you will need 3 Water Bottles, which you can retrieve by creating empty bottles and filling them with water. Additionally, Blaze Powder is required to brew this potion.
Now, in a Brewing Stand, place the Blaze Powder in the upper-left box and place the three water bottles in the lower boxes. You will need a Nether Wart that can be harvested from the top of soul soil in the Nether, and put it in the middle-upper box. Once the timer completes, you can obtain the Awkward Potion.
You will find a Pufferfish in either the lakes or the ocean. Since their spawn rate is quite low, you will have to forage thoroughly and look around every nook and corner. Ultimately, when you find the fish, you can return to the Brewing Stand and place the Pufferfish in the upper and the Awkward Potion in the lower box.
After it brews, you can drink the Water Breathing Potion to extend your oxygen duration for three minutes. Additionally, if you chug down two bottles of the potion, the effect will be doubled to eight minutes.
