While searching for Thira across unknown realms, Slayer releases the Old One and is later consumed by the beast. After tearing himself free from the Old One’s mouth during Chapter 18: Belly of the Beast, he finds Thira in the temple imprisoned with high energy. Prince Ahzrak uses Thira’s own power to imprison her, as she possesses the soul of Wraith within her. While attempting to save Thira, the high energy surrounding her attacks the Slayer and leaves him immobile.

At the beginning of Chapter 19: Harbor of Souls, Slayer wakes up trapped inside an energy chamber. Causing a violent energy outburst by removing his tether, Slayer falls into a pit filled with acid-like inflammable liquid. It ignites on contact and scorches through his skin, causing him to enter an undead form with a gruesome appearance, revealing his skull and torn armor.

But the Slayer legend doesn’t end there. Fueled by rage, he decides to punish Kreed, the Witch, and Prince Ahzrak. He fights his way back to the Mortal Plane and crashes a massive ship to pass through the Gates of Hell.

Chapter 20 Resurrection starts with the Slayer reaching the Mortal Plane. Meanwhile, Sentinel Monks perform a resurrection ritual using the Slayer’s broken helmet. This triggers the resurrection and brings back the Slayer to life. He then reclaims his helmet and sets out on his way to take revenge.
