Gold powers every upgrade in Build an Island, and nothing drains the coffers faster than stalled production. Bees solve that problem with a quiet buzz, turning spare planks and a pinch of patience into a steady drip of Honeycombs that sell for tidy profit.

First you will mark out a hive plot near the sawmill, then you will pry bees from the Merchant’s unpredictable stock list, and finally, you will spread them across multiple hives for maximum yield.

Bees in Build an Island

To start keeping Bees in Build an Island, your first step is to build the Beehive area. Head to the plot right next to the Sawmill and Workers Hut. Once there, you’ll notice three small pedestals in front of a flower patch. These are where you’ll construct Beehives. Approach one and build it using 30 Planks. You can craft Planks at the Sawmill using collected wood. Without this setup, you can’t house any Bees.

Once your Beehive is ready, the next task is acquiring Bees. Open the Merchant shop, but don’t expect Bees to be available every time. In most cases, a Bee shows up every third or fourth refresh. When it does appear, you can buy only one at a time for 120 Gold. Since timing is everything, pay close attention to the top of your screen for a message indicating the Merchant’s stock has refreshed. Use the Merchant Icon on the right side of your screen to teleport directly to him and avoid missing your chance.

After buying a Bee, walk it over to your Beehive and place it inside. Each Beehive can hold up to five Bees. However, it’s more effective early on to spread Bees across multiple Beehives rather than stacking them in one. This way, you maximize your Honeycomb output.

From here, you don’t need to do much. Bees will automatically start producing Honeycombs over time. Go to the back of each Beehive to collect them. Each Honeycomb sells for 40 Gold. The more Beehives and Bees you have, the faster your production and income grow.

Set it up once, and the system works quietly in the background while you expand your island.
