Best Mentat Skills in Dune Awakening

The Sentinel
Skill Tree: Mental Calculus (Ability)
If you like to have some extra firepower during combat, the Sentinel skill allows you to deploy a Sentinel Turret. It fires at enemies using motion detection. The Sentinel can be a great starter skill for the Mentat class. It not only gives you an extra hand but can also provide strong support when you are overwhelmed by multiple enemies. At level 3, the turret deals 150 damage with increased duration.
Exploit Weakness
Skill Tree: Mental Calculus (Technique)
The Mentat can even find an enemy’s weakness by calculating data. The Exploit Weakness technique from the Mental Calculus tree allows you to create a weak point to inflict more damage. If you fire a ranged weapon and land a hit on an unshielded enemy, the hit spot becomes a weak point, allowing you to deal more damage with the subsequent attacks.
Headshot Damage

Skill Tree: Assassination (Passive)
While the headshot already deals great damage, you can boost the damage value with the Headshot Damage skill. This passive skill from the Assassination skill tree can deal 20% additional headshot damage at level 3. Although the Marksman skill from the Mental Calculus also boosts your headshot damage, it comes with a trade-off of reducing the body hit damage. However, with the Headshot Damage, you can land devastating headshots without any compromise.
Hunter-Seeker
Skill Tree: Assassination (Ability)
The Hunter-Seeker is one of the best tactical skills of the Mentat class. The ability allows you to pilot a special assassination device to take out enemies silently. It functions more like controlling a drone, allowing you to kill enemies from a safe distance without alerting others. However, keep in mind that you will become vulnerable while piloting the device.
Shield Wall
Skill Tree: Tactician (Ability)
Being trapped in an open space during mid-combat or ambush can be worse. However, with the Shield Wall skill, you no longer have to worry about such scenarios. The ability allows you to deploy a half-height shield, providing great cover. Enemies who pass through the shield will be slowed down, providing an opportunity to eliminate them.
Solido Decoy
Skill Tree: Tactician (Ability)
The Mentat class’s another top-tier tactical skill is Solido Decoy. The ability from the Tactician skill tree lets you create a near-perfect image of yourself using a projector. The holographic clone confuses enemies and can be used to distract or bait enemies. You can even make it move by activating the ability again.
