Dune Awakening immediately hooks you in with an interesting alternate reality premise. Lady Jessica gave birth to a girl, and Paul Atreides never came to exist in this world. The Duke went on to survive the attempt on his life, is now waging war with the Harkonnen, and somehow, the Fremen are missing.
With no Paul Atreides in play, you’re the one tying the story all together. The task seems heavy, especially for just one person. Thankfully, you don’t have to go on this dangerous journey alone. Dune Awakening lets you experience this alternate Arrakis story with friends. Together, you and your friends can complete quests, raid camps, take on contracts, and do everything in your power to shape the fate of this new Arrakis.
While the idea of exploring Arrakis with a friend sounds absolutely amazing, Dune Awakening doesn’t really tell you much about how to do so. You can invite friends, but the game won’t tell you how. The feature is easily accessible through a menu, but with the abundance of menus on hand, it is just as easy to miss it. How To Play Dune Awakening Co-Op With Friends

You can invite friends for a co-op session in Dune Awakening by following the steps below:
- Load into the game and open the in-game inventory.
- At the bottom of your screen, you will see a ‘Social’ button, marked by an icon displaying a drop of people. Click on it.
- The game will then open up the Social menu, taking you straight to the Players tab. Here, you will see the list of friends you have on Steam. You can then click on the button next to their name to invite them and play together.
- If you don’t have your friends added on Steam, you could either send a friend request on Steam or invite them using the “Search Player” option in the Player tab. Enter their character name or Funcom ID to search for them and invite them to play.
