Dune Awakening has a ton of quests that send you out on errands across Arrakis. These quests help you learn more about the world and engage in the gameplay loop, all while rewarding you with loot and XP. The Swordmaster quests in the game stick to this formula, but reward you with powerful skills under the Swordmaster skill tree.
“Checking The Post” is a Swordmaster quest/contract in Dune Awakening. This quest sends you into the Wreck of Pallas in search of dead drops. Someone has been trying to contact the Swordmaster, and he wishes to acquire more of the dead drop messages. Since he wants no one to know he still lives, he sends you to retrieve the dead drops for him.
As you explore the Pallas Wreck as part of the quest, you will run into a door that will not let you pass through without a key. The Pallas Wreck key is an Identification Band that allows you to pass through the gate and proceed with the quest.
With the Pallas Wreck being so huge and difficult to navigate, finding the key is a challenging task. The added verticality of the Wreck only complicates matters further, making this quest seem nearly impossible to progress through. How To Find the Pallas Wreck Key in Dune Awakening
If you have not found the Pallas Wreck yet, you will first have to acquire the Checking The Post contract from the Swordmaster. The Pallas Wreck will then be marked on your map. Head to the marked location and proceed through the Wreck as intended until you reach the forcefield gate.

Once you hit the dead end, turn back around and enter the next chamber ahead. You will see a set of rafters above. Scale the crate to your right and parkour across to climb the rafters. To your right, there is a sealed door. Use the Cutteray to break through the door, and you will find the Pallas Wreck Identification Band (key) inside.
