Stellar Blade is finally out on PC, and the game has already seen more than 100,000 concurrent players just hours after its release. For the most part, this title is linear, although you do have some choices at certain points. Some of these can have a drastic impact on the story and which ending you get in the game.

One of the very first choices that you will come across is whether you should cooperate with Adam or not. While the implications of this choice might seem important, it is best not to overthink this.

In the first instance, your choice to cooperate or not with Adam in Stellar Blade does not have any effect on the story. However, during the end stages of the game, there will be another moment when you need to decide whether you should take Adam’s hand in Stellar Blade. This choice, on the other hand, is extremely important and decides which ending you will get in the game.

In this article, we will explore both scenarios with Adam in Stellar Blade, and explain whether you should cooperate with him and eventually take his hand.

You can either cooperate with Adam or refuse to do so in the early stages of Stellar Blade. This choice has no effect in the proceedings of the game. You will end up going to Xion either way. The only major difference here will be the dialogues between EVE, Adam, and Lily.

As such, choosing to cooperate or not with Adam during the early stages of the game is an unimportant choice in Stellar Blade. Select any of the options here, and proceed with the main story. However, another major game-changing choice will present itself later during the end stages of the game.

Should You Take Adam’s Hand in Stellar Blade?

You will get the choice to take Adam’s hand towards the end stages of Stellar Blade. Unlike the previous choice, this choice will determine the final boss fight of the game, and also impact how the story ends for EVE. Here is an explanation of what happens if you take Adam’s hand or not in Stellar Blade.

Note: The following sections contain spoilers regarding the story of Stellar Blade. Proceed with caution.

What Happens if You Take Adam’s Hand in Stellar Blade?

If you take Adam’s hand, EVE and Adam will merge to become a powerful entity and oppose Mother Sphere directly in Stellar Blade. As a result, Mother Sphere will take control of Lily’s mech and turn it into the Providence. This will be your main boss fight after selecting this choice. Lily will eventually end up dying in this process.

While this might seem like the bad ending, it is actually the opposite. If you want the secret ending or the good ending of Stellar Blade, you should take Adam’s hand and fight Providence instead.

What Happens if You Refuse To Take Adam’s Hand in Stellar Blade?

If you refuse to take Adam’s hand in Stellar Blade, he will shed any remaining bits of his humanity and transform into the Elder Naytiba. You will simply stab Adam (or Elder Naytiba) in the heart after a rather tough boss fight. This will also bring the Naytiba invasion to an end. While this might seem like the ideal ending, it is actually considered to be the bad ending of Stellar Blade.

Refusing to take Adam’s hand is actually the bad ending of the game. In essence, it just upholds the lie that Mother Sphere had crafted to begin with. Unless you are really intent on looking at every single cutscene in the game, you should ideally not choose this option in Stellar Blade.
