Exploring the different regions of Arrakis and gathering valuable resources is a core part of the gameplay in Dune Awakening. However, obtaining a resource repeatedly can become tedious and time-consuming. Thankfully, some equipment can streamline the process, reducing the time and manual effort. One such notable tool is Static Compactor. It greatly increases the effectiveness of gathering Flour sand, and Spice by compacting them as a clump. Using a Static Compactor not only allows you to effectively farm resources, but also helps you avoid or escape Sandworms by shortening the harvesting time.

Here is how you can get and use a Static Compactor in Dune Awakening.

How To Craft a Static Compactor in Dune Awakening

To craft a Static Compactor, you must first research its schematic from the Research tab. The Static Compactor schematic is located under Iron Products. Once you complete the Second Trial of Aql, you can craft a Static Compactor at either the General Fabricator or the Survival Fabricator. You need the following materials to make a Static Compactor.

Iron Ingot (10): Can be refined at the Ore Refinery using Iron Ore and Water.
EMF Generator (7): Can be obtained from chests inside the caves.

How To Use the Static Compactor in Dune Awakening

The Static Compactor collects Spice and Flour sand and forms them into clumps, allowing you to easily pick them up. To use a Static Compactor, you need to find either required sites in the desert. They can be easily identified by white, smoke-like sand for Flour and purple-colored sand for Spice.

Once you reach those spots, aim your Static Compactor and fire at the targeted sand patch. This collects the sand from a small area and forms it into a clump. Interact with and press the ‘E’ key to pick up the resources. To avoid Sandworms, you can also use a Thumper to distract them.
