The Revenant is easily one of the most fascinating Nightfarers in Elden Ring Nightreign. Not only does she have an incredibly tragic Remembrance questline, but she also features a rather interesting playstyle. As her name suggests, Revenant is capable of summoning undead warriors to aid her in combat, akin to a Necromancer.
However, what makes her different from usual Necromancer classes in RPGs is how her summoning capabilities are woven into combat. Revenant is also one of the most complicated Nightfarers in terms of her playstyle, only seconded by the Recluse. Not only do you need to be mindful of summoning your familiars, but as the Revenant, you also need to pick weapons that synergize with your stats.
However, by mastering her abilities and also crafting a powerful Relic loadout that synergizes with her skills, you can make the Revenant more potent than any of the other Nightfarers in the game. Here’s a comprehensive guide on the best Revenant build in Elden Ring Nightreign.
Overview of the Revenant in Elden Ring Nightreign
While it might not look like it, Revenant is an excellent choice for a quality Strength-Faith playstyle. If you’re a fan of weapons like the Blasphemous Blade, Maliketh’s Black Blade, etc., you will be familiar with the Strength-Faith setup. Although it might be tempting to simply stick to melee weapons with the Revenant, she’s best utilized as a support character with her familiars doing the damage at her behest. She’s also one of the only characters in the game who can revive the entire party with her Ultimate, regardless of the purple gauge. Guardian can also revive allies the same way. However, even the Guardian struggles with the level 3 gauge.
Furthermore, Revenant also has an S scaling in Faith, which makes her incredibly potent with Incantations. Although Revenant can use Colossal Weapons, she’s best used as a Prophet, using support Incantations to buff the party and occasionally using projectiles to divert an enemy’s attention.

How To Use the Best Revenant Build
Here are some tips that should help you use the best Revenant build efficiently:
- The Revenant is best used as a support character, so we’ve used additional Vigor in this build. Additionally, extra Vigor comes in handy for some of the Incantations, particularly the ones that inflict Madness. However, do note that Revenant isn’t a tank, and as such, you aren’t meant to charge bosses, even if you have access to a Colossal Weapon.
- With the Revenant, always remember to use your familiars. We recommend starting with Helen, since she’s nimble and can easily stack a good amount of damage on enemies. Once she’s down, we recommend using Sebastian to defeat or stall the enemy. Sebastian is also a good way to distract bosses while the Revenant charges an Incantation.
- Ideally, while playing as Revenant, you want to pick up as many seals as possible. However, if you want to mix up your playstyle, go for smaller weapons instead of the Colossal ones. Furthermore, Revenant, much like the Executor, has good Arcane scaling. As such, you always want to keep an elemental (affinity) weapon on hand.
- For weapons, the Revenant’s starting armament, the Revenant’s Cursed Claw, is possibly the best option. Not only does the weapon offer a rather fast moveset, but it also scales quite well with Arcane, which lets you inflict affinity damage on enemies quite easily. With our build, we’ve used Frost on Revenant’s starting armament. However, we recommend switching the element based on the Nightlord’s weakness.
Additional Notes
The Revenant, unlike characters like Executor, Raider, Wylder, and Duchess, isn’t a good option for solo. However, that’s not to say she’s not usable for solo runs. The Revenant is a particularly good choice against Nightlords like Adel and Fulghor. However, she’s not a good option for Gladius, Maris, and Libra.
