Dune Awakening lets you pick sides is a raging civil war between the two main houses on Arrakis, House Atreides and Harkonnen. If you’ve decided to go with the former, you will be embroiled in a long faction quest chain. Completing each quest along this chain will win you brownie points with the Atreides faction. Beyond that, you will also earn several valuable items as rewards.
The final quest in the Atreides faction quest chain is called The Tainted Spice, and it involves you traversing the dangerous Deep Desert region in search of the Delphis freighter wreck and those responsible for the poisoned spice. In the following guide, we’ll explore how you can complete The Tainted Spice quest in Dune Awakening.
How To Find the Delphis Freighter Wreck?
You will need to head to the highly radioactive part of the map called Sheol. This will require you to go to the westernmost section of the Hagga Basin. Make sure you wear a Radiation Suit and have plenty of Iodine Pills on you. Both of these items will help negate the dangerous effects of radiation that you’ll face when navigating the Sheol area.
It’s also a good idea to use a Survey Probe to scope out this region beforehand. Otherwise, you might have quite a bit of challenge navigating the place and finding the wreck of the Delphis.
You won’t be able to reach the rocky region where the Wreck is on foot or using ground vehicles. Instead, you’ll need to use the Ornithopter to reach the wreckage. If you try to approach on foot, one of the two sandworms in the area will surely get you before you can reach the destination.

How To Complete The Tainted Spice Quest in Dune Awakening?
As soon as you land on the rocky region where the wreckage is, don’t waste any time. The region is PvPvE, which means the greatest threat is coming across another player that attacks you. Since you have the Radiation Suit equipped, you won’t be able to withstand much damage. Therefore, quickly proceed to the entrance and take down the two standard enemies and the one foe wielding a Gatling gun.
After killing these enemies, enter the wreckage and turn left to find the container where you’ll find the poisoned spice item needed to complete the quest. Grab it quickly and then run back to your Ornithopter. Fly back to Arrakeen to meet with Thufir Hawat and give him the deadly spice. Once you do that, you’ll finally get a meeting with Duke Leto Atreides. Depending on your interaction with the Duke, you might be able to max out your reputation with the Atreides faction.
