Dune Awakening’s gameplay isn’t only about gathering resources or managing the base you’ve built. Instead, the game offers a vast range of optional quests besides the main story missions. These optional quests or contracts not only earn you considerable XP and Solaris, but they can also provide you with unique weapons, armor, and more. So, it’s always a profitable prospect to seek out and complete the contracts.
The Missing Pyon is the first contract in the optional questline dubbed Dangerous Dealings. You will get these contracts from someone named Tuffam Shisa. In this guide, we’ll explore how you can complete The Missing Pyon quest in Dune Awakening.
The Missing Pyon Contract: What You Need To Know
The contract issuer, Tuffam Shisa, reveals that one of his Pyons, named Caffok, is missing. He suspects that Caffok might have joined the Maas Kharet. Your job is to locate the missing Pyon, which will begin with a thorough search of Caffok’s quarters in Arrakeen. You can speak with the Ornithopter Pilot to take you to the hub, or you can easily head there if you’ve already acquired your own Ornithopter.

How To Complete The Missing Pyon Quest in Dune Awakening
When you reach Arrakeen, proceed up the stairs and take a left. Go straight and take the second right. You’ll then have to head up another flight of stairs to reach Caffok’s quarters. Interact with his cot to learn that he hasn’t slept there for several days. You’ll also discover a document about Maas Kharet here. Picking it up will change the contract objective.
Now, you’ll need to learn more about the Maas Kharet group. Head down the stairs from Caffok’s quarters and follow the map marker to discover another document nearby named See the Gardens of Arrakis.
Following the Trail of the Maas Kharet
Your next order of business will be to locate the Giant Cactus in the O’odham location and scan a site underneath it. When you reach this place, the location will have several enemies that you’ll have to dispatch first. Then, equip your scanner and begin scanning the central platform at the base of the cactus.
Following this, you will need to head south from your current location to reach the second scan site. The quest marker will guide you there. In this location, you’ll find a couple of cubes stashed against the mountainside. Scan these cubes to unearth the location of Taqwa’s Watch.
Taqwa’s Watch is located to the northeast of your current position. There, after fighting off several more Maas Kharet enemies, you’ll have to perform a final scan at the base of some cacti and interact with one of the cube boxes. As soon as you do this, you can get in touch with Tuffam Shisa. This will end The Missing Pyon quest and begin the next contract in the Dangerous Dealings contract chain. You’ll also receive 11,000 Solaris and 350 XP as a reward for completing the contract.
