Death Stranding 2 has a total of 17 episodes, and each one has something unique attached to it. Just after completing episode 9, Sam is tasked to eliminate a camp of armed brigands, which is episode 10. This is an elimination order, so you’ll have to prepare yourself before heading out.

There are some armed brigands who took over the Western Environmental Observatory, and now it’s Sam’s job to clean up the mess. Moreover, there’s a sub-order associated with this episode, so let’s get started.

Sub-Order

Aside from the main objective, there’s a sub-order that can reward you with a Tranq Sniper Rifle, a weapon that can eliminate threats from a good distance. The order is to deliver the dismantled rifle to the Lone Commander. If you complete this order first, you will be able to use this sniper rifle to eliminate the brigands. However, if you don’t want to, you can still head straight to the main objective.

Preparation

Since it is an elimination order, you have to arm yourself with weapons. We recommend bringing at least two assault rifles and some grenades that will help in killing those brigands. Moreover, take some blood bags to make things easier. There are around nine brigands roaming the area, so being armed is your main priority.

Head to the Western Environmental Observatory

The observatory is 600m northwest of the Government’s Base, and you will be able to see it from a distance. Note that there are some small rivers between you and your objective, so using a vehicle is preferred. If you want to traverse on foot, then make sure to bring some ladders.

Eliminate Armed Brigands

Even though stealth can make things way easier, you must be ready for any situation. Eight armed brigands are no joke, and depending on your difficulty settings, it might get nasty. Scan the whole area by pressing L1, and learn about their locations. There’s a brigand scouting from the watchtower, and he should be your first priority. Sneak to the tower, kill the brigand near the tower, and eliminate this guy at the top to get complete control of the watchtower.

If you brought the sniper rifle, you can kill most of the enemies from this location. However, if stealth is your way, then you can learn the routes of each brigand to deliver punishment. Lastly, if you are feeling like a god, open firing is always an option.

Episode 10 Rewards

After killing all the threats in the area, you have to interact with the terminal located in the area. Speak with Peter Gates with the help of the terminal, connect the observatory to the network, and complete the order. With that done, you will receive the following rewards:

240 base likes
410 additional likes (If Sam takes 100% or less damage)
20 APAS Enhancement Points
Unlocks MP Grenade
Unlocks Base Skeleton Lv1
Unlocks Grenade Pistol
