How To Obtain Custom Electric Rod in Death Stranding 2
The Custom Electric Rod becomes available once you reach a 2-star connection with the Villa Libre. After delivering the remote medical units to Villa Libre and connecting the base to the Chiral Network, you will receive an aid request from La Madre. Complete the aid request by retrieving four walking sticks washed away in the floods and delivering them to La Madre. This unlocks the weapon data for Custom Electric Rod. You will then be able to fabricate the Custom Electric Rod at any facility using 30x Metal and 30x Resin.
Complete more orders and establish a 3-star connection with the Villa Libre to unlock the advanced version of this base model, a Custom High-Voltage Rod. Additionally, you can obtain Electric Rods by defeating enemies and searching enemy camps.
How To Use the Custom Electric Rod in Death Stranding 2
The Electric Rod is one of the most effective early-game weapons. It serves as an excellent choice for melee combat, delivering shock damage to enemies at close distance. This can also stun them and give you an edge during the battle. You can also use this rod to defend yourself by blocking melee attacks. While sharing similar functions, the Custom High-Voltage Rod goes further and can deal additional damage with charged attacks.\
You can also throw the rod like a javelin or a spear to create a powerful shockwave that inflicts severe damage on a distant target. However, keep in mind that you cannot retrieve the rods once thrown.
