Here is how to unlock Zipline in Death Stranding 2, one of the most powerful upgrades for easier and effective cargo transportation.

Traversing vast terrains and delivering cargo has never been easy, especially without access to advanced equipment or the knowledge to use it effectively. Undoubtedly, Ziplines are one of the most efficient equipment, making deliveries a lot easier and more effective. They have made a return in the sequel with an improved mechanic, allowing smoother route creation. Ziplines allow you to quickly traverse between different regions and are often faster and efficient than roads. This guide explains everything you need to know about Ziplines, including how to unlock and build them in Death Stranding 2.

How To Unlock Ziplines in Death Stranding 2
Ziplines become available during Episode 6: Chrysalis. To unlock them, complete Order 21 by rescuing the Dowser’s Friend (SS Rajamouli) from Armed Survivalists. Delivering Dowser’s Friend safely to the Dowser’s base completes the mission and unlocks the structure data for Ziplines.
Once unlocked, you can then build a Zipline using PCC level 2. Equip your PCC and choose Zipline from the available structures. Confirm the position of the Zipline and press R2 to build it. Unlike the original title, Death Stranding 2 lets you curve the line while building to avoid obstacles more effectively. You can change the angle by pressing the Square or Triangle buttons. However, keep in mind that Zipline requires a chiral bandwidth of 500.
How To Use Ziplines in Death Stranding 2

You can build a complete Zipline network around Mexico and Australia by constructing multiple Ziplines and interconnecting them. This allows you to travel quickly and safely from one point to another, avoiding potential threats like BTs and human enemies.
To use a Zipline, approach it and press Square. While travelling, you can also jump off mid-air by pressing O. Once you reach one end of the Zipline, you can either choose to continue to the other end or end the trip by dismounting the Zipline. While you can carry a single Floating Carrier (attached to your waist) through a Zipline, carrying a vehicle won’t work. Strategically placing and connecting multiple Ziplines makes long-distance cargo delivery faster and easier.
