The Utility Pouch in Death Stranding 2 is a Backpack Attachment that lets you carry more Blood Bags without compromising on cargo space.

Death Stranding 2 puts you into the shoes of Sam Bridges as he goes about completing deliveries in an apocalyptic world. Since these deliveries are a core gameplay element of Death Stranding 2, they’re pretty in-depth, and you have to micromanage a lot of elements to successfully complete a delivery. One such element is your cargo space.
You work with limited cargo space, and a good chunk of it is used up for the cargo you need to deliver. The remaining space is for goods you’ll need for your journey, of which the Blood Bags might be the most important. Blood Bags help you restore health, but with limited space, you sometimes can’t carry them. To fix this issue, you need to unlock the Utility Pouch.
Utility Pouches are a Backpack Attachment in Death Stranding 2. This Backpack Attachment allows you to carry up to four Blood Bags inside the pouch, without taking up any of the cargo space. This allows you to use up the free cargo space for something else, letting you micromanage your journey better.
The Utility Pouch is one of the best Backpack Attachments in the game, but you wouldn’t know because Death Stranding 2 doesn’t really tell you how to unlock it. Thankfully, we do.

How To Unlock the Utility Pouch in Death Stranding 2

In order to unlock the Utility Pouch Backpack Attachment in Death Stranding 2, you need to reach Connection Level 3 with the Northern Environmental Observatory. You find and connect this facility to the Chiral Network after completing Order 16 in the game.
Once the Northern Environmental Observatory is up on the network, you then need to complete its suborders and deliveries. There are multiple deliveries to complete, so you’ll have to grind this section out a bit. Make sure to also complete whatever optional objectives you find along the way. This will grant additional Likes and help you level up faster. We also recommend finding all lost cargo and bringing it to the facility to gain more Likes and reach Connection Level 3.
Once you’ve hit Connection Level 3, you will then unlock the Utility Pouch as a reward. You can find this in the Backpack Customization section, and can craft it using 30x Resins and 20x Metals.
