Baldur’s Gate 3 didn’t originally run natively on the Steam Deck, which caused numerous performance issues, including unstable frame rates. However, with the release of Hotfix Patch #34, Larian Studios has compiled a native build of Baldur’s Gate 3 for Steam Deck. This version runs much smoother with little to no frame time spikes, even in busier areas of the Lower City. Still, we’ve optimized the settings further for better performance. The new native build of Baldur’s Gate 3 already runs better on the Steam Deck. However, with our optimized settings, you can achieve a stable 40 to 45 FPS, which feels much smoother compared to the previously unstable 30 FPS. Apply the settings listed below:
